DRAP grants special permissions for the importation or exportation of personal use medicines or devices, unregistered drugs to be imported by hospitals or institutions and import of donation medicines and devices by Government and Non-Government Organizations (NGOs). Applications for the grant of Special Permissions for the Import of unregistered therapeutic goods by Institutions and Import or Export of therapeutic goods for personal use are reviewed and approved by Import and Export Section of QA< Division. The evaluation process flows for applications under this category are provided below:
Import or Export of Finished Drug or Device for Personal Use :-
Application for grant of NOC for Import or Export of Personal Use Drugs or device shall be submitted by patient/ applicant on online portal with mandatory documents. The application process flow is being provided for illustrative purpose.
Drug Import License of small quantity for test, trial or analysis :-
Application for authorization to import drugs in small quantities for test, trial or analysis, shall be submitted by the applicant on online portal with supporting documents and applicable fee. The application process flow is being provided for illustrative purpose.
NOC for Import of unregistered drugs and devices by Hospitals/ Institutions only :-
Application for grant of NOC for Import of unregistered medicines and medical devices by hospitals and institutions shall be submitted by the applicant in nearby field office with supporting documents (as per checklist). The application process flow is being provided for illustrative purpose.
NOC for Import of donation drugs and devices :-
Application for grant of NOC for Import of Donation medicines and medical devices by Organizations shall be submitted by the applicant in nearby field office with supporting documents (as per checklist). The application process flow is being provided for illustrative purpose.
